These last few days have been really exhausting but also fascinating. So just to give some background. When I am at I usually am not very active and it takes a lot of effort and energy for me to go out and do stuff. But I’m really proud that for now that I went out every day and tried to maximize my stay here as much as possible. And I think so far I really did.
So on the 3rd day, my adventures continued.

I tried going to Bangalore palace but since on Google Maps or Uber will always guide you to the wrong place or rather to the wrong side of the whole area.

The Pink arrow shows you where the Uber driver will drop you off, but you actually can’t go to the actual palace (which is shown with the blue arrow). So I arrived at some weird festival venues and just walked back to the main road. But after a while, when the walkway ended on the main road I just got tired of going to a place that is so inaccessible and annoying to get to. So I just ordered a Tuk-Tuk and it took me to my favorite Museum.
I visited the Museum of Arts and Photography (MAP). It is located in the museum district, which is right across the road is Visvesvaraya Industrial & Technological Museum which I visited a day before (you can read the Blog post from this day here).
Coincidentally on Tuesday, there is no entry fee and the whole museum is free (˶ˆᗜˆ˵) . The building is relatively small compared to the others building around it. But it looked very tidy and modern. In the yard of the buildings there was an incredible installation / Statues of Nek Chand.

There were 5 Floors ( Floor -1). On the top there is a small restaurant and a gorgeous view of some skyscrapers. On Floor 3 there was my favorite exhibition and also very relevant, since my upcoming project will treat similar topics. The exhibition was called “VISIBLE/INVISIBLE:Representation of Women in Art through the MAP Collection”.
Then on the floor below that was an exhibition about a German architect and about textiles (in two different rooms).
There was a digital archive (and also a physical one) in the first floor, and on the ground floor was the Entrance. In the lower ground there was also a little sandwich shop and I think they hold their workshops there.
I was really positively surprised by the quality of the building and also how neatly organized everything was. I really enjoyed my visit there. So if you ever find yourself in Bangalore, this should be on your List.
After my visit, I went back to the hotel, and we went to a rooftop-bar. The view was really nice. On this day, I decided to take my Mamiya camera with me since I thought we would have a good view. I even took some pictures (Instax and on Portra 400). I got a bit “disrupted” while taking pictures since the photographer asked me how I took such nice pictures with my camera and I happily showed it to him. But to be fully honest, I don’t think he quite got it. Since it’s night, the shutter Speed has to be quite high so that the exposure is right (about a second). I put his camera on my tripod and showed him the settings for his camera and took a picture. And when I left the restaurant he tried to take pictures with still the same settings but no Tripod. So I would assume his pictures didn’t turn out how he wanted it •⩊• . Also, I got to take pictures of their team with my beloved Zinstax.
After that, we just went straight to the hotel and just slept.

This day I was really excited for. I had reserved a table at the Farmlore Restaurant. And since the Michelin Guide is not available in India they have their own System. And it goes from 3 to 5 Stars and in Bangalore, it’s the only restaurant that has all full 5 stars.
I went there (very excited and nervous) with the car from the hotel and since I had the reservation at 12:30 I arrived a bit earlier. So I walked around in the garden area a bit and just took some pictures.

When it was finally time, I sat down on the “Chefs-Table” where they all prepared the food in front of me.

The meals and the experience was really something else. Also, the staff was really nice to me and they even showed me the kitchen •⩊• yay!
I took some pictures of all the Courses with my Kiddie Print Camera and they came out quite funny.

After Farmlore, I went to the Bangalore Palace. The palace was a bit disappointing since the building inside was rather boring and also there were plenty of pictures that were being reused on different floors. But the outside area and the garden I really liked. Also, it’s prohibited to take pictures inside, but I still took one or two (hehe).

Also, I finally rid on a motorcycle. It was quite a coincidence. I searched for the palace and I asked a person on a motorcycle (that was standing still obviously ˙ᵕ˙) for direction and he simply said hop on and drove me to the palace ₍⑅ᐢ..ᐢ₎.
After the palace as always we went to eat something with Nana’s colleagues and then we went to bed.

This day was a much-needed rest day. After breakfast, I slept again until 12. And then I went to meet Nana and her colleagues. Since they drove to a factory for a visit and we met up in a restaurant where the food was wonderful, but the service was rather disappointing.

After our meal, which took like 2.5 hours. I showed Nana the Museum of Arts and Photography since the restaurant where we meet up was by foot 5 mins away.

And Nana also really enjoyed the museum, and I really needed such a lazy day since I experienced so much and was quite exhausted.
Thanks again for like reading all of that. I hope it was as fun as it was for me to write and document my day.
It is now 1am here and I will have to sleep now.
Hopefully see you soon (˶ˆᗜˆ˵)
Greetings
